Tim McCorvey
Tim started his career at McCorvey Sheet Metal more than 45 years ago as a Helper in our Manufacturing Facility. As a helper, he loaded trucks and lined out ductwork for the Stacking Department. It was not long before he began to assist his Father, Allan McCorvey, in the Shearing Department. It was there that he recognized the values and strong work ethic that would be handed down from father to son. In the fall of 1976, he began his Journeyman Apprenticeship. Roughly a year later he found himself working in the field installing ductwork in schools, office buildings, and laboratories. In the summer of 1978, Jimmy Smith, the former Vice President came out to a project, where Tim was on top of an AHU making the final connections to the unit and was directed to the office to begin his new career as a Detailer. He was extremely grateful for the opportunity of a new challenge and completing the cycle of work in all phases of the Sheet Metal Industry. 42 years later, Tim is still doing what he loves, managing, detailing, and coordinating large-scale projects for McCorvey. His goals are simple, leave a legacy of leadership, strive to be the best, and lead by example.
