Robert Gaitan

Robert started working as a Helper with McCorvey Sheet Metal in 1980 when he was still in high school. In 1982, he started the Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Program at San Jacinto College and completed the program in four years. While completing the program, he worked under Bill Ware, the Shop Foreman at the time, as his assistant. He was also Head of Safety in the Manufacturing Facility. He had the opportunity to work in the field on large-scale projects such as the George R. Brown Convention Center, Glen Carrion Elementary, the Lyric Center Downtown, and the San Luis Resort but most of his time was spent in the Brake Department. Five years ago, he recently moved from Texas to Orlando, Florida, where he received a promotion to Shop Superintendent. He met his wife in Orlando about 2 and a half years ago and in August 2020 they will be celebrating their one-year wedding anniversary. His hobbies include traveling, finding nice beaches, golfing, and going to any rodeo in the area.
